SC2 is an independent consultancy focused on the practicalities of achieving sustainability, at national, regional and local level. Founded in 2006, SC2 takes advantage of Steve Charter’s expertise and 15+ year track record in the sustainability field – working in public, private, not-for-profit and education sectors, from grass-roots to national policy level.

SC2's current work includes working with:

• Passivhaus Network and Oxfordshire Construction Training Group – to write and accredit low energy sustainable building courses and qualifications to the National Qualifications Framework
• SusCon – to develop and deliver a comprehensive range of sustainable building training and events, and other sustainability education and training
• C4Ci - on TSB funded (Technology Strategy Board) 'tools for low carbon buildings' 18 month project, following on from SC2 assisting C4Ci in the project design stage and in preparing its successful application to TSB.

SC2 is independent, and is also a member of:

• Carbon Free Group
• Futures Park group - working with private and public sector partners to establish sustainable enterprise parks which are exemplars of sustainable building and energy systems and which cater for companies delivering services and products that respond proactively sustainability and climate change agendas, with the option to include sustainable innovation hubs and sustainable building and technology skills centres.
